FAQNAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme that powers the conversion of nutrients into cellular energy. NAD+ is a large, charged molecule. Oral NAD+ is poorly absorbed and largely broken down before reaching the bloodstream. Most clients run four to six sessions over four to eight weeks for the initial loading phase, then a single maintenance drip every four to six weeks. Yes to both. Eat a normal meal one to two hours before the drip. IVs on an empty stomach can cause light-headedness. Hydrate well in the hours before. Skip caffeine in the two hours before if possible. It can make veins constrict and slow cannulation.
A small, sharp pinch at insertion, then nothing for the rest of the session. We use the smallest practical bore size for IV therapy, and our DHA- or DoH-licensed nurses are trained in vein-friendly technique. A warm compress, a slow approach, single attempt where possible. Tell your nurse on arrival if you have needle anxiety. They will talk you through each step and pace it to your comfort.
Tell your nurse immediately. They monitor you continuously, and the drip rate can be slowed or paused at any time. Mild flushing or a temporary metallic taste is common with high-dose vitamin drips and typically resolves within minutes. The nurse stays with you for the full session and is trained to handle reactions clinically.
